In just a few days, it will be socially acceptable to drink Pumpkin Spice lattes, burn apple cinnamon candles, and wear a scarf and boots with every outfit–it.will.finally.be.fall.
And with that comes the best time of year to take family photos! Whether you do a classic pumpkin patch photo or find a beautiful tree-lined street with changing leaves, you’ll want to make sure that your family’s style is on point. So I thought I would put my styling skills to work and come up with a couple of style boards to help inspire your fall family photos.
While you definitely want a “color theme,” you don’t want to be too matchy-matchy. Instead of everyone wearing the same exact colors, mix and match complementary colors for each member of the family. If you have no idea what colors go together, a simple Google search along the lines of “color wheel for fashion” will get you all the information you need.
Also, don’t feel like you have to “dress up” or buy new “fancy outfits.” You can do a whole lot with the basics. If you have a pair of jeans you feel really good in, wear them! You’ll feel more confident in the pieces you love, which will show in your photos. Adding a pop of color or texture will take your basic outfit to the next level, while staying true to your family’s style.
